We've already seen some pretty radical ideas surrounding sustainable packaging. From [packaging that is part of the product itself](https://www.prote.in/en/feed/2013/02/the-disappearing-package?ref=protein.xyz), to [food sold in edible containers](https://www.prote.in/en/feed/2013/07/wikibar?ref=protein.xyz), designers keep coming up with innovative ways to minimise how much we throw away. Now [Veuve Clicquot](http://www.veuve-clicquot.com/?ref=protein.xyz) is the latest company to embrace the recent revolution in sustainable packaging: the French brand have produced a champagne cooler composed entirely of potatoes and paper.  
Designer [Cédric Ragot ](http://www.cedricragot.com/?ref=protein.xyz)has created an eco-friendly and fully recyclable product that harnesses the humble spud’s hidden strength: starch. The outcome, Naturally Clicquot, keeps your bubbly cool for up to two hours thanks to its isothermal properties remaining both attractive and cheap to produce.  
An unlikely pair, Champagne and potatoes are rarely mentioned in the same sentence, but French agency [Fantom](http://fantom.fr/?ref=protein.xyz)'s work for Veuve Clicquot seizes upon the current trend for sustainable packaging.
