If you're based in New York you've got a weekend of music hacking coming your way. On the 12th and 13th the [General Assembly](http://www.generalassemb.ly/?ref=protein.xyz) will be taken over by [Music Hack Day](http://nyc.musichackday.org/?ref=protein.xyz) and used as a hotspot to check out what's up with music + software + mobile + hardware + art + the web.

Organised by [NYHacker](http://nyhacker.org/?ref=protein.xyz), General Assembly, [SoundCloud](http://soundcloud.com/?ref=protein.xyz) and [The Echo Nest](http://echonest.com/?ref=protein.xyz), the two day hackathon runs from 9am-7pm on Saturday and 9am-5pm on Sunday.You can either present your own projects, or just show up on Sunday for the demos that'll be shown on the day.
