Imagine seventy-eight fingers playing the same guitar or twenty-two arms beating one set of drums. Last year Japanese roboticists joined forces to create a music performing system that exceeds all human capabilities for drinks brand [Zima](http://zima.jp/?ref=protein.xyz). The Z-Machines, as the three-piece robo-band were dubbed, have collaborated with UK-based experimental producer [Squarepusher](http://www.squarepusher.net/?ref=protein.xyz) to create the first album played entirely by robots. [Music For Robots](http://warp.net/records/squarepusher/squarepusher-music-for-robots?ref=protein.xyz) is scheduled for release on April 7th, with the goal to test the boundaries of traditional music composing and performance.
