Technology company [MonkeyLectrics](http://www.monkeylectric.com/monkey%5Flight%5Fpro/?ref=protein.xyz) has created a system of LEDs that, when installed onto a bike’s wheels, displays a whole range of eye-catching light shows. Ingeniously called the Monkey Light Pro, the system is comprised of a series of four LED light bars that activate once the bike is travelling at speeds of 10 to 40 miles per hour.   
  
Using persistence of vision – a phenomenon of the eye – humans process the flashing light from the LEDs, interpreting them as easily recognisable images. Completely waterproof, images and animations can be programmed using companion web-based software and sent to the system via Bluetooth.   
  
An innovative way for cyclists to customise their bikes, the Monkey Light Pro could well transform the humble bike into a valuable platform for brands and advertisers alike.
