In a bid to bring visitors closer to the action, [The Fashion Museum of Antwerp](http://www.momu.be/en.html?ref=protein.xyz) (MoMu) has unleashed an interactive smart screen that allows unlimited public access to archived content. At the swipe of a hand, visitors can cast their eye over former exhibitions for both an informative and creatively stimulating experience.

Working in collaboration with digital developers [Lab101](http://www.lab101.be/projects/momu-explorer.html?ref=protein.xyz), MoMu set up a resourceful team to transform their huge archive into a cutting-edge project. “These days, museums have large parts of their collection locked away in huge archives,” say the tech team. “The Fashion Museum of Antwerp transforms this problem into one of their strengths. From past experiences we learned to focus on quick and explorative interactions which involve a new way of designing.”

With consumers looking for constant access and interaction, MoMu have adapted their software to give visitors access even after the museum is closed. Ensuring that its gallery space remains technologically progressive, MoMu follow in the footsteps of artists such as Adrien Mondot and Claire Bardainne, whose latest virtual art performance [Hakanaï](https://www.prote.in/en/feed/2015/04/hakanai?ref=protein.xyz), transcended the traditional. Similarly, The [Walker Art Center](http://http//www.walkerart.org/?ref=protein.xyz)'s [Intangibles](https://www.prote.in/en/feed/2015/04/intangibles?ref=protein.xyz) concept store reinstates the shift from static exhibitions to digitally led experiences.
