As technology adapts and develops, the fourth wall is torn down to transform passive viewers into active participants. In the past few months, bands like [Light Light](http://www.prote.in/en/feed/2013/04/do-not-touch?ref=protein.xyz) and [Tanlines](http://www.prote.in/en/feed/2013/02/tanlines-not-the-same?ref=protein.xyz) have released experiential videos encouraging their fans to fully engage with their sound and vision.

Ioanna Gika and Leopold Ross of Los Angeles-based shoegaze band [Io Echo](http://ioechomusic.com/?ref=protein.xyz) teamed up the minds behind Arcade Fire’s groundbreaking interactive video for '[We Used to Wait](http://thewildernessdowntown.com/?ref=protein.xyz)' to create a psychedelic, exploratory trip in the duo’s new video '[Ministry of Love](http://noisey.vice.com/blog/watch-io-echos-dazzling-new-interactive-video-for-ministry-of-love?ref=protein.xyz)'. Using the mouse to alter the images and move through different 'rooms', the viewer creates a inimitable sensory experience. With dreamy lo-fi images and stimulating interactions, it is impossible to watch it just once.
The video concludes with a download of a postcard created during the video, enabling the participant to take home a piece of the experience.
