Protein® favourite [Last.FM](http://last.fm/?ref=protein.xyz) is attempting to get users to buy more song downloads by limiting how often they can listen to free streams, after signing content deals with Universal, EMI, Warner and BMG. It had previously allowed users to listen to tracks as many times as they wanted, but that service will now be limited to three plays before a download option is offered. Users wishing to listen to tracks more than three times will be offered a monthly [subscription fee](http://www.last.fm/subscribe?ref=protein.xyz).
