9-5 jobs office jobs have become a scarcity, more so in the city and even more so in the creative industries. Not only have working hours become longer (though arguably more flexible), but the office itself has become more of a base camp than a work station. Now we have more freedom to work where and when we want. Mobile technology, the Cloud and a less strict adherence to traditional working hours means working remotely is a luxury more of us can afford.

To reflect this, Dutch Designer [Tim Vinke](http://www.timvinke.nl/?ref=protein.xyz) has created the [Kruikantoor](http://www.timvinke.nl/kruikantoor-mobile-office/?ref=protein.xyz) (a portmanteau of the Dutch words for ‘wheelbarrow’ and ‘office’), a mobile office - complete with table, two chairs, shelves for paperwork and a convenient slot for a coffee machine - that can be transformed into a cart and easily relocated. There is even a provision for a power outlet.

The Kruikantoor is a nod to the transience of our office spaces but also a practical way to quickly and (somewhat) easily transform even the smallest spaces. In a similar vein [WW](https://www.prote.in/en/feed/2014/06/ww?ref=protein.xyz) is a concept that caters for mobile workers by placing mini, multi-purpose offices across the city, offering workers temporary work stations whilst on-the-move.
