Colorful panels that look like books in a giant book shelf appear above the entrance of a shopping mall in Japan. They are actually components in an electricity generator developed by Inaba Electric Work Co. Ltd.

Inaba Electric Work Co. Ltd. is an Osaka-based lighting equipment and switchboards manufacturer. The unusual-looking structure has an equally unusual name: "Surface of the wall windmill ecological curtain." The total 775 vertical windmills, installed on four tiers along a 107-meter railing, are expected to produce 7,551 kilowatt-hours annually. Combined with solar panels set atop the structure, the harnessed energy will be used to power lighting in the mall building. via http://www.worldchanging.com/
