Currently chllin in strip bars, the worldly Morrissey is releasing a DJ mix CD with tracks from The New York Dolls, The Ramones, Patti Smith and Diana Dors. Taking after their "Back to Mine" series, DMC's latest venture entitled 'Under The Influence' plans on drawing on the tracks that inspired some of the world's greatest recording artists. However ironic that the man who crooned "hang the DJ" is now is now releasing mix CDs; in a world where all indie kids want to make electropop and all techno kids want to be punk rock stars it seems like perfect timing. Morrissey is starring in a fly on the wall documentary due out on Channel 4 UK this fall. Link
