Grand De-central Station is an ongoing experiment exploring the use of radio for alternative forms of outdoor entertainment. Moving Graffiti is a part of the experiment using films. Using a digital projector, a PS2, a radio transmitter and specially selected urban architectural canvasses, films are shown in built-spaces that otherwise have meaning largely in being passed-by. The next event takes place this weekend in London and although the identity of the film is never revealed until it's playing, rumours abound that Bladerunner: The Director's Cut is to be shown at this particular event. What better context than that of an East End underpass on a dark, rainy night to watch Harrison kill/fall in love with Replicants? You will need a radio, something to sit on and some refreshments. Sat 24th May, 10pm, Mile End Park, London (Canal-side underpass that passes under Roman Road).
