EJ Enterprises Worldwide unveiled the EJ Turntable, a retrofit that turns a turntable into a MIDI output device. The EJ Turntable retrofit works with other MIDI hardware and software, and with EJ ScratchTV software - which lets you can scratch and mix with any QuickTime digital media - including music videos. The EJ Turntable system uses a special 12" EJ Vinyl record with a patent-pending optical pattern, plus an optical cartridge which replaces the traditional needle/stylus on the turntable. Other highlights spotted on the show floor included a better voice recorder for the iPod from Griffin Technology. Called iTalk and out in April, the device introduces a line input and better sound currently lacking from in an existing recorder from Belkin. Boinx Software's iStopMotion that turns your iSight camera into stop motion animation tool and Ovolab's Phlink which turns your Mac into a sophisticated answering machine that can even email you recorded messages.
