A dozen digitalmusicchannels and still nothing worth watching? You need a better Antenna. Antenna is a bi-monthly music video night held at the NFT. Ten months ago a couple of video industry types decided it would be in everyone's best interests to get the unsung heroes of music promos up on the big screen. It's been lapped up by both industry insiders and clued-up punters ever since. As well as the usual ultra-creative new treats, next week's screening will include a few of Antenna's greatest hits in advance of the night's first birthday in October. On show will be promos from some-time Spaced director Edgar Wright, Shynola (who've done stunning animations for UNKLE and Radiohead) and Garth Jennings, whose super-slow-mo film of a falling exploding dummy (bearing Beck's features) is an art form all of its own. These and other legends of the silver screen will be joined by newbies Ruben Fleischer (DJ Format), Ed Holdsworth (Four Tet) and Happy (Adam Freeland). Contrary to reports on the NFT website, the traditional industry panel will be in attendance for commentary and audience questions. (The players involved are kept hush-hush, because you'll want to go for the cool-ass vids anyway, right?) The screening starts at 20.30 on Thursday 24 July in NFT1. Tickets £7.50 (concessions £5.70) from the NFT Box Office on 020 7928 3232.
