The man himself Damon Albarn has revealed that he too is embracing mobile devices such as the iPad and is using it to record the new Gorillaz album whilst currently on tour, a collection of songs to follow up to Plastic Beach. "I fell in love with my iPad as soon as I got it, so I’ve made a completely different kind of record,” he says in the latest issue of NME, out this month.
So far he is the first of musical artists who’ve announced their intention to utilise available technology outside of the studio to bring new sounds to market. This no doubt will herald inspiration and interest from budding musicians too often disillusioned that quality music must come out of physical studios. via NME
