Oorsmeer says Mylo's 'drop The Pressure' mashed up with the eighties hit ' Dr beat ' by Gloria Estefan and the Miami sound machine (aka the contagious ' Dr Pressure ' by Phil&dog) came to the ears of the Scottish producer and the rest is history. If you missed the whitelabel.... A dealis on its way, as clearing the rights to Estefan's music appeared more easily than thought. Beside Mylo's own edit of the mashup, the single includes the original Phil & dog bootleg and Rex The dog remix. The single is out August 15 http://www.gybo-v3.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=4944http://culturedeluxe.com/ Mylo: "I first heard 'Doctor Pressure' when I was doing a gig in Brighton a few months ago and Phil and Dog came backstage to gave me it on CD. It had been quite a while since I had heard a good bootleg but I thought it was absolute genius from the first listen. I'm obviously biased but for me it's up there with the Richard X's 'Whitney vs. Kraftwerk' one or even possibly the ultra-sought-after Celine Dion "My heart will go on" vs. Sigur Ros! The serendipity started piling up after that - I had signed a deal with Sony BMG so it turned out to be easy to clear. I did my own version of the bootleg, then we found out that Hexstatic had stuck the two videos together, which (astonishingly) both had a theme of randy doctors and nurses. After that it seemed only right to give it a proper release...."
