A couple of months ago we showed you a Kickstarter funded project for[ Wi-fi enabled, LED lightbulbs](http://prote.in/feed/2012/09/lifx?ref=protein.xyz). It seems that Phillips were travelling on a similar train of thought and have released their new Hue Connected bulbs. Available exclusively through the [Apple Store](http://store.apple.com/us/product/HA779VC/A/philips-hue-connected-bulb-starter-pack?ref=protein.xyz), the bulbs let users adjust lighting based on the colour palette of an uploaded photo, schedule lights to turn off and on at a pre-arranged time and set different moods depending on the situation, (like having a party, watching a film etc) all for only $199.95 for three! Being out and proud [chromophiles](http://prote.in/chromo?ref=protein.xyz) over here means that we're looking forward to getting our hands on these immensely.
