Just wanted to wish our good friend at [Shooting People](http://shootingpeople.org/?ref=protein.xyz) a big Happy 10th Birthday. They have been described the by director [Morgan Spurlock](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morgan%5FSpurlock?ref=protein.xyz) as "a necessity for anyone who works, lives and breathes independent film", and I tend to agree.

 I first met Jess and Cath \[picture above with Mike Figgis\] back in 1998 when they were thinking about setting up Shooting People as they wanted some advice about how I was running the Protein Feed mailout. Needless to say, they I didn't need to say much as they had the very capable [Mr Tily](http://shootingpeople.org/cards/tily?ref=protein.xyz) already on-board running things. Usually you receive presents on your birthday, but SP want to give you one back ... if you [join before the 10 December](http://shootingpeople.org/?ref=protein.xyz) you get 10 weeks membership extra free - that's 62 weeks for the price of 52, sounds good to me.
