[Ben West ](http://bewe.me/?ref=protein.xyz)and [Felix Heyes](http://felixheyes.com/?ref=protein.xyz), two artists and designers from London, have made a monumental visual guide to the dictionary using images from [Google](http://www.google.com/about/company/?ref=protein.xyz) search - aptly, and simply, named *Google*.

Replacing the 21,000 words found in your everyday dictionary with whichever image showed up first for each word in Google’s image search, the 1240 page mammoth of JPGs, GIFs and PNGs was created using two time-saving PHP scripts.

The first script took a text list of dictionary words and downloaded each image in sequence while the second laid them out into columns and output as PDF.

The PDF was then printed into a beautiful book – handbound, with thumb indexed pages and held together in a marbled paper hardcover.

An honest and unedited visual snippet of our times, the golden Google logo appears on the front clearly indifferent to whatever internet horrors it may contain
