Spandex on display isn't usually noteworthy, but [Aaron Sherwood](http://aaron-sherwood.com/?ref=protein.xyz) and [Mike Allison](http://michaelpallison.com/?ref=protein.xyz)'s [Firewall](http://aaron-sherwood.com/blog/?p=558&ref=protein.xyz) is an exception. An interactive media installation, when users push on a large piece of spandex, visuals and music respond to their touch. Technology used includes a Kinect (like [Missing](http://www.prote.in/feed/2012/12/sonos-x-the-xx?ref=protein.xyz)) and an Arduino (like [Quakescape](http://www.prote.in/feed/2012/12/quakescape-3d-formation?ref=protein.xyz), [Listen Carefully](http://www.prote.in/feed/2012/08/listen-carefully?ref=protein.xyz), [The Tweet Shoe](http://www.prote.in/feed/2012/08/listen-carefully?ref=protein.xyz), and a lot of other things lately).

As far as we know, the installation was independently funded, but if [Spanx](http://www.spanx.com/home/index.jsp?ref=protein.xyz) were smart, they'd get on board.
