This little snippet of ninfo comes from my mate Mr Lovegrove at the Ministry of Sound. In an “unprecedented move”, Fatboy \[marry Zoe Ball and get your tracks played every hour on Radio 1\] Slim and Armand \[mainlining mainstream\] Van Helden have set a date for a mock title fight.

The two high-profile dance music dons are set to slug it out in a boxing ring at London’s Brixton Academy for the title of dance heavy weight champion. The title will be awarded to the winner of the soundclash, as both DJ/producers battle it out on two decks in the old school hip-hop style.

Sounds like a bit of a pr stunt, but I’d pay to see these two trash their Technics and go head to head “Celebrity Death Match” stylee.
