Emoji is an annoying epidemic that a lot of people seem to be very much into. It allows us to express a whole range of emotions without actually expressing any. Nevertheless, its mass popularity means that there are some developers and designers out there who are willing to use it in their work.   
  
[Emojify](http://www.voidworks.co/emojify?ref=protein.xyz) from Voidworks allows users to create emoji mosaics based on any image. Once a picture is taken or chosen from the phone library, users can choose how many icons should make up the image, and set the contrast. These creations are saved in high-res, and shareable via social media.   
  
It is interesting to see a typical social media phenomenon making its way into the field of digital design.
