Dutch branding agency [Vandejong](http://www.vandejong.nl/?ref=protein.xyz) and design studio [Marina van Goor](http://ontwerpstudiomarinavangoor.blogspot.com/?ref=protein.xyz) have collaborated to create the world's first restaurant that exclusively holds tables for parties of one. [Eenmaal](https://www.facebook.com/popupeenmaal) is an experimental concept that attempts to break the taboo of eating out alone in public, and instead aims to make this phenomenon more attractive and common in modern society.

Van Goor initiated this social-design project and approached Vandejong to develop the visual identity and branding concept for the restaurant. [Eenmaal](http://www.eenmaal.com/?ref=protein.xyz) literally translates to "once", alluding both to the the nature of the dining experience as well as the fact that it's being presented as a fleeting pop-up concept. The collaboration aims to create an attractive dining atmosphere that also provides some food for thought about the social stigmas attached to being seen without excessive company in public. The project's creative directors strive to show that eating alone can be a very desirable and pleasant experience from time to time.

After a preliminary test run at the culinary festival [Rollende Keukens](http://www.rollendekeukens.nl/?ref=protein.xyz) in Amsterdam earlier this year, Eenmaal is opening its doors to the public for the first time this weekend and reservations can be made via their page e-mail. The four-course vegetarian meal can also be made vegan upon request and will cost diners €25 including drinks.
