This new design study conducted by the [Art Center College of Design](http://www.artcenter.edu/?ref=protein.xyz) in Pasadena has compiled the various new physical habits and gestures that would have been totally alien to us as recently as a decade ago and have only become instinctive due to the proliferation of digital and mobile technology.

[Curious Rituals](http://curiousrituals.files.wordpress.com/2012/09/curiousrituals-book.pdf?ref=protein.xyz) is a compendium of the new behaviour we’ve adopted but probably aren’t even aware it has become second nature to us. Featuring an essay, a design fiction piece and even a script of an accompanying film, the book seems like the most comprehensive account of the new gestures and behaviour technology has forced on us to date.
