He talks about the making-of and general backstory of his latest film on original street-style photographer Bill Cunningham.

Cunningham's candid photos have been documenting the New York fashion scene over the last 50 odd years in the *Times* Style section, andhe has no doubt influenced street-style snappers the world over. It took 10 of those years to make the film - 8 for Press to convince Cunningham to do it in the first place, and 2 to film and edit.

As Press' debut feature film, '[Bill Cunningham New York](http://www.zeitgeistfilms.com/billcunninghamnewyork/?ref=protein.xyz)' is scheduled for release on the 16th March. Cunningham is a legend.
