But according to a study by two York University researchers estimates the U.S. pharmaceutical industry spends almost [twice as much on promotion](http://www.zmescience.com/big-pharma-spends-more-on-advertising-than-research?ref=protein.xyz) as it does on research and development, contrary to the industry’s claim. I have had more than one run in with the Big Pharmas myself, and all I can say is... WORD.
