British singer [Sivu](http://sivusivu.co.uk/?ref=protein.xyz), spent hours inside an MRI scanner at [St Bartholomew's Hospital](http://www.bartsandthelondon.nhs.uk/?ref=protein.xyz) in London to perform and record the video for his up-coming single, Better Man Than He. The idea for the video came from director [Adam Powell](http://www.blackdogfilms.com/directors/uk/adam-powell/?ref=protein.xyz) who has recently become interested in capturing images without using conventional cameras and lenses. His fascination with the work of doctors at St. Bart's and [CLEFT](http://www.cleft.org.uk/?ref=protein.xyz) on children with cleft lips and palates lead him to suggest putting Sivu inside the scanner for very different purposes.

<>The viewer is treated to a literal glimpse into the mind of the singer as well as seeing the lively and colourful representation of the relationship between the throat and brain. The result is a beautifully human depiction of physiological processes. This isn't the first time we've seen MRI scans used to represent, and better understand, the machinations of creativity.
