We have seen a wave of artists adding advanced digital experiences and apps to their releases, including [Calvin Harris](http://prote.in/feed/2012/11/18-months?ref=protein.xyz), [Snibbe Studio](http://prote.in/feed/2012/12/rework?ref=protein.xyz) and [Bobby Womack](http://prote.in/feed/2012/07/the-bravest-man-in-the-universe?ref=protein.xyz) \- all reinventing how we engage with music.

Last week [Yung Jake](http://yungjake.tumblr.com/?ref=protein.xyz) released a new app called ‘Augmented Real’, adding yet another layer of invention to the listening experience by incorporating AR. He has previously blown our minds with his [ e.m-bed.de-d](http://prote.in/feed/2012/04/e.m-bed.de-d%22?ref=protein.xyz) video and this time he has done it again, in 3D-style. Both videos made the official selection of the 2013 edition of [New Frontier](http://filmguide.sundance.org/film/130004/em-bedded%5Fand%5Faugmented%5Freal?ref=protein.xyz) at the Sundance film Festival.
