Pitchfork are launching a sister site on July 7 focusing on leftfield pop, experimental, and home-recorded sounds. [Altered Zones](http://www.alteredzones.com/?ref=protein.xyz) will be under the direction of co-editors [Visitation Rites](http://www.visitation-rites.com/?ref=protein.xyz) and [Transparent](http://www.transparentblog.com/?ref=protein.xyz), both well-respected blogs that revolve around the above musical genres. An international line-up of the world’s hottest bloggers including 20 Jazz Funk Greats, Gorilla vs. Bear and Don’t Die Wondering make up the contributors for [Altered Zones](http://www.alteredzones.com/?ref=protein.xyz) \- building [Altered Zones](http://www.alteredzones.com/?ref=protein.xyz) into an exciting platform for the most adventurous new artists from the underground to showcase their work.
