Multimedia artist [Doug Aitken](http://www.dougaitkenworkshop.com/?ref=protein.xyz) and Protein favourite [Peter Crnokrak](http://prote.in/profiles/peter-crnokrak?ref=protein.xyz) have collaborated to create a contemporary art app called[ Altered Earth](https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/altered-earth/id470658082?mt=8&ref=protein.xyz). Created entirely in one region, the expansive Camargue area in Southern France, the app takes viewers on a journey through the local landscape, presenting the geography in various digitised forms. Testing the boundaries of how we think about our surrounding environment, the app creates a distinctly modern exploration of landscape and the space between man, nature and technology .

By utilising a whole range of technology and mediums, from literature to interactive 3D installation spaces, the duo have been able to create an experience that will be totally unique every time for every viewer.
