Beauty retailer [Aesop](http://www.aesop.com/?ref=protein.xyz) have teamed up with artist, ballerina and all round woman-supreme [Lucy McRae](http://www.lucymcrae.net/?ref=protein.xyz) in a short film to coincide with the global relaunch of their [website](http://www.aesop.com/au/?show%5Fbanner=1&ref=protein.xyz).

The piece, entitled [Morphe](https://vimeo.com/49304150?ref=protein.xyz), celebrates the company’s 25th anniversary, and places McRae on the operating table in a fictional and highly stylised Aesop laboratory. It's a tender accolade to feminine beauty and explores the relationship between technology, science and nature.

While slick packaging, beautiful products and faultless shop interiors have always been Aesop's strong suit, this foray into film proves once again that Aesop have their look down to a tee. Their commitment to using both plant-based products and laboratory-made ingredients is beautifully translated into this film.

An interesting vision for a beauty retailer, it's no wonder they're a cult favourite.
